Update on Matthew Grant search

Facebook page set up to share information

Dear RIT Community,

As the search for our missing student, Matthew Grant continues, I want to take a moment to share an important message from Matthew's family.

Firstly, Matthew's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the entire RIT community for the overwhelming support and solidarity shown to them and the investigators working on the search. Your care and concern have been a source of strength for them. A dedicated Facebook group has been created in the quest to find Matthew. This platform is a hub for people to gather, offer support, and share information about Matthew's whereabouts.

However, I want to emphasize the importance of direct communication. If you have any information, regardless of how insignificant it might seem, please do not hesitate to contact 911 or RIT Public Safety at 585-475-3333 or text 585-205-8333. Sometimes, even the most minor information can be crucial in such investigations. Please never assume that what you know has already been reported.

I also recognize this situation's profound emotional impact on the RIT community. It's essential to remember that we are all part of this close-knit community, united in hope and care for one another.

In closing, I reiterate our collective commitment to finding Matthew and supporting his family and each other.

Sincerely,
Sandra Johnson
