Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory and Cold Weather Advisory for our area starting today and into the weekend.
The Winter Advisory is in effect for Rochester and Western New York from 1 p.m. today through 7 a.m. Sunday. The Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday.
Dangerous wind chills temperatures will reach lows of nearly -20 degrees Saturday morning.
Please take any necessary precautions when travelling or conducting outdoor activities. If going outside wear layers, hats, face scarves, gloves, and preferably water-proof boots.
If you are planning, hosting, or participating in any outdoor event, please be advised that it may be canceled due to deteriorating weather conditions. We are encouraging limiting outdoor time to short durations.
