Job Description:
This application is for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Management
discipline in Gallaudet University's Business Administration program.Teach
two undergraduate business administration core and elective courses every
semester, with an emphasis on Business Management courses such as Global
Business, Human Resources Management, Hospitality, Management, Organizational
Behavior, Business Strategy and Introduction to Business. In addition,
ability to teach Business Capstone, Risk Management and Insurance (RMI)
courses is highly desirable but not required. The successful candidate will
serve as coordinator of internship, career preparation and placement for
Department of Business majors, and act as advisor and mentor to undergraduate
business majors. The individual will also fulfill program, department and
university service assignments. Perform other duties assigned by the
chairperson of the Department of Business.



Requirements:
Doctoral degree in Business Management or its equivalent desirable.
University level teaching experience and increasingly responsible experience
in private business and/or the government in Management or human resources
strongly preferred. Applicants with a Masters degree in Business or a related
field, who have extensive, relevant work and teaching experience will also be
considered; Applicant must possess strong quantitative and technology skills

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable; if not
already proficient, a new faculty member must develop proficiency in ASL in
accordance with Gallaudet University guidelines.

Record of publication, survey, research, consulting and other activities
demonstrating the use of economic analysis for business and/or government
decision-making purposes is highly desirable.

To be considered for tenure at Gallaudet University, a candidate must possess
a Ph.D./terminal degree in their field
