Job Description | EPA Region 2's Data Management and Program Support Team (“Data Team”) is responsible for measuring, evaluating, and interpreting data for all of EPA's compliance monitoring and enforcement actions administered in EPA Region 2. The Data Team uses SharePoint, Python, R, and Qlik Sense (EPA’s business intelligence platform) for these purposes and is seeking someone who can use programming languages to extract, manipulate, integrate and analyze enforcement and compliance data to improve the effectiveness of enforcement and compliance assurance programs that EPA administers in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and 8 federally recognized tribal nations. Requirements | GS-9: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR 1 year of full-time, specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 level defined as analyzing information to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations; applying analytical approaches, methods, concepts, and/or techniques to assist in program planning GS-7: 1 full year of graduate education; OR Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement; OR 1 year of full-time, specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 level defined as assisting in monitoring projects; preparing and/or analyzing reports For superior academic achievement, visit https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications… Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
