SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, the Supply Chain Analyst supports the procure-to-pay process through data collection and analysis to improve the efficiency of supply chain operations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

I. Ensures data integrity and develops dashboards to target specific supplier spend for contracting opportunities, assesses purchase order and payment turnaround time for resource planning, and performs cost benefit/return on investment to support projects that need to secure various products and services.
II. Collects data on supply chain operations and implements measures to improve data integrity.
III. Analyzes data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency and support sourcing strategies that leverage procurement through RFP/RFQ/RFI processes.
IV. Develops and executes projects to enhance procure-to-pay processes.
V. Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers to evaluate supplier performance for supplier review meetings and enforcement of quality standards based on development of supplier scorecards.
VI. Benchmarks supplier performance and pricing to industry standards.
VII. Encourages and streamlines manual processes through standardized technological resources to centralize and provide readily accessible documentation showing adherence to departmental policy.
VIII. Develops and implements monthly reporting on key performance indicators of the procure-to-pay process through a dashboard.
IX. Performs supplier due diligence and monitors the onboarding process.
X. Collaborates with Gallaudet University departments to enhance service delivery.
XI. Establishes and maintains a positive and supportive working relationship with co-workers and supervisor.
XII. Shows a genuine commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace; and participates in activities and workshops to foster continuous learning.
XIII. Serves as a mandatory Title IX reporter; and takes annual Title IX training as part of the compliance effort.
XIV. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Required Minimum Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
● A minimum of three years of professional experience with supply chain or financial analytics.

Preferred Qualifications (While not required, it is an advantage for what the position needs.)

● Fluency in American Sign Language.
● Master’s degree in supply chain management or related field.
● Experience in a higher education setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Qualities that will help the incumbent be more successful in the position.)
● Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
● Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail to effectively interpret
data and translate into actionable conclusions.
● Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and exposure to statistical software
applications.
● Strong written communication and presentation skills.
● Strong ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and prioritize.
● Strong ability to gather information from different departments and recommend ways of
improving supply chain operations.
● Demonstrated ability to work with and across University departments, outside constituents and
groups.
● Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and
learning environment.

Other Important Information:

● All employees are expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza (flu). They also
will be required to submit their vaccination record within the first week of employment. If they cannot be fully vaccinated, they may apply for a medical or religious exemption.
● If the incumbent has no knowledge of American Sign Language, the incumbent is required to achieve an ASLPI score of 1.5 within two years of employment. If the incumbent is hired with some knowledge of American Sign Language, the incumbent is required to achieve an ASLPI score of 2 within two years of employment. The supervisor must ensure that the incumbent receives the necessary support to meet this goal.
