Job Title: Center for Research & Training (CRT)- Lab Manager

Job Description:
The Center for Research and Training at The Learning Center for the Deaf is
currently looking for a motivated individual to work with us on exciting
research on the accessibility of information for deaf individuals. This
interdisciplinary project would provide opportunities for someone who is
interested in human-computer interaction, accessibility, Deaf education, and
user interface design.

SUPERVISOR: Co-Directors of The Center for Research and Training

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The applicant should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

Collaborate on marketing and dissemination campaigns, to include the
production of video and print materials.

Ability to create, edit, label, organize and create deliverable videos for
ASL CLEAR modules, social media, and marketing.

As assigned by the Development Director and CRT admin team, research,
analyze, interpret, and communicate regulations, guidelines, and project
requirements, including government contract language.

Summarize findings and contract requirements to various teams in writing with
a project management lens.

Engage with national networks of stakeholders

Effectively handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet
deadlines.

Make data-based recommendations to the CRT team.

Think both proactively and creatively to identify the effectiveness or
deficits in current systems, and recommend and document, timely remediation
plans accordingly.

Ability to keep CRT/WPI information confidential

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Conversational fluency in ASL
Strong professional diplomacy, and relationship-building skills
The ability to communicate clearly in ASL and written English
Passion for, and commitment to, TLC and CRT mission
Demonstrated computer skills and ability with various applications and
software, procedures and processes (Adobe, Google Classroom, Zoom, Video
Editing, etc)
Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
Ability to work effectively with teams, manage and respond to processes and
deadlines
Interest in bilingual (ASL / English) education, linguistics, and STEM a plus
Interact effectively with schools, project teams, contractors, and
collaborators
Quick problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong, detail-oriented organizational and project management skills and has
the ability  to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
The ability to function autonomously and proactively
A minimum of two years of professional experience, with a background in
managing multiple projects.
