Detailed Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Information Security and Technology Services, The IT Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to organize internal and external technology projects, documentation and training. This role requires proactive, clear communication and the ability to effectively organize work using technology tools. Effective interaction with a variety of IT professionals and end users at all organizational levels for projects, meetings and training is essential.

Knowledge of American Sign Language or willingness to learn

This position will have a variety of responsibilities, including:
Monitoring IT project plans, schedules and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
Facilitate meetings and provide meeting summaries and action lists
Distribute and track action items and decisions with proactive follow up
Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained as required
Act as custodian of technical documents and records
Effectively use systems and processes to complete assignments
Use interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and end users
Act as the point of contact for projects and ensure consistent communication on project issues and status
To fulfill these responsibilities, the candidate will be able to:
Coordinate project execution to ensure adherence to schedule, and scope.
Confer with project personnel and end users to identify and resolve problems.
Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
Maintain all related documentation required for technology systems, development and security
Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects.
Coordinate activities of project personnel.
Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications and schedules.
Prepare training materials associated with technology projects, services or systems and preform end user training as required
Assess current or future customer needs and priorities by communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys or other methods

Required Minimum Qualifications

3 years’ experience working with/on projects. IT Project management experience or project coordination experience preferred
American Sign Language - Knowledge of American Sign Language or willingness to learn
Familiarity with project management
Comfort level with technology to support the needs of service, infrastructure and development projects
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of basic applications and the ability to learn new tools as required to support the needs to the department
Exceptional organizational skills
A good understanding of business processes along with analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to provide effective written communication for reports and technical documents.
