Apollo 11 Interactive Timeline - UI/UX Design

This interactive infographic, created for the Interaction Design class, is on the subject "APOLLO 11 LANDS ON THE MOON".

Semifinalist, Adobe Design Achievement Awards 2016

The project's goal is to educate teenagers on the history of the space race and the Apollo program.

Caricatures of the famous astronauts were created.

To captivate user attention and make the infographic fun, Anem used a retro colour palette.

Subtle animation brought the characters to life.

Anem added interactions and small animations to each illustrated component. Most interactions were highlighted for the user, while some were hidden to add delight and surprise.

To further enhance this visual style, Anem used a combination of serif and san-serif typefaces.

Since teens are less patient than adults, the infographic was designed to be quick with condensed information.
