Being Human is a visual novel where players follow Jay, an African-American non-binary high school student on their way to graduation. Jay and the player will face problems like microaggressions, race, and gender.
We hope that playing Being Human, as a game for change, will teach people to be more empathetic. By following Jay, players get to experience a slice of what it may be like as a young African American non-binary youth in America.
Being Human is a winner of the RIT Student Game Showcase & Expo 2023 for "Game Impact" sponsored by the Fram Chair in Applied Critical Thinking.
