The Exhibition Experience: Robert Panara's Legacy
Echoes of a Voice: Exhibition Concept for Robert Panara at the 3rd floor of RIT's Wallace Library
This exhibition concept centers on a striking installation composed of standard 8.5" x 11" printed sheets—each showcasing photographs, writings, and highlights of Robert Panara’s life and work. Attached to circular metal rings and suspended from the ceiling, the papers cascade vertically, forming a flowing, curved “wall of papers.” This semi-transparent structure not only celebrates Panara’s legacy through tactile, printed media, but also creates a defined path that guides visitors through the exhibition, inviting reflection and movement within the space.
Printed with photographs, writings, and highlights of his work, the paper elements bring his passions—teaching, theater, ASL
poetry, literature, and baseball—to life.
