Ross Hall Data Center Migration

CAD houses computing infrastructure in two data centers on campus. Our secondary or backup site is in the Ross Hall data center. In the summer of 2013, portions of the data center needed to be evacuated to make room for renovations. Over the course of a single late night, we moved our gear from one side of the data center to the other. During this migration we were able to retire several pieces of aging equipment, reducing the physical and electrical footprint.
