Surgical Illustration

Students observe and sketch live surgery at three teaching hospitals in the Rochester area. Sketches are then translated into finished surgical illustrations that accurately describe the procedure.

Surgical illustrations are used to train surgeons, surgical residents, and medical students, but can also be used to help patients understand their treatment.
