Astronomy Minor

The club is more than a geography club, although its members do love maps. Geographic information systems technology is used to analyze and visualize location-based data, with applications varying from urban planning and environmental management to crime analysis. 

RIT faculty members are tackling some of AI’s most pressing challenges with support from the National Science Foundation’s prestigious CAREER Award program, which recognizes early-career scholars who integrate cutting-edge research with student education.
