Rochester Business Journal highlights RIT's newest property purchase.

Decked out with technicolor lights and vibrant animated displays, RIT’s MAGIC Spell Studios soundstage became a runway last week during Beyond Fashion. The rainbow runway featured a diverse collection of garments and wearables crafted by local designers and RIT students across multiple disciplines.

Icon Honors recognize Rochester business leaders over the age of 60 for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership within and outside their fields. The honorees have moved their organizations or businesses and Rochester forward by growing jobs and making a difference in the community.

The first “Ask Munson” episode of the academic year will be on WITR-FM (89.7) at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. The broadcast is part of an ongoing series that has been a tradition of the President’s Office for two decades.

NTID President Gerard Buckley, who made history as the first RIT/NTID alumnus to become president of the college, has announced his intention to step down in summer 2025 after leading the National Technical Institute for the Deaf for 15 years. His tenure as NTID president caps a career in higher education spanning more than 40 years.

A $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of State will continue the work led by professors Clyde Hull and Eric Williams with entrepreneurships based on circular economy principles in member nations of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
