Audism and Intersecting Identities

This workshop will briefly review audism. Four panelists (Dr. Peter Hauser, Dr. Joseph Hill, Ms. Camille Ouellette, and Ms. Roxann Richards) will share their experiences and the impacts they had on actualizing their deaf identities along with their intersecting identities. It is hoped that participants will become mindful of the complex layers of both audism and other forms of "isms" and feel inspired to work together in producing a supportive future for Deaf and HOH individuals.
