CANCELLED: CES Documentary Film Series presents 'The Breadwinner' (2017)

Join the Center for Engaged Storycraft for an animated drama, directed by Nora Twomey (US), that tells the story of an 11 year old in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan who must disguise herself as a boy to support her family after her father's arrest. It is adapted from Deborah Ellis's award-winning book of the same name.

Sponsored by the RIT Storytellers student group, there will be a post-screening discussion led by Elizabeth Dettmann. The film is 1 hour and 27 minutes and includes some scenes of war and other violence.
