The Crossroads: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on American Music School of Individualized Study Speaker Series presents Internationally-Acclaimed Harmonica Player Carlos del Junco in Concert  Followed by a Discussion of the Harmonica’s Role in MusicBoth sophisticated and raw, Carlos del Junco’s playing blurs the boundaries between jazz and blues and also covers New Orleans, swing, Latin, hip-hop, ska and roots rock. Carlos is an eight-time Canadian Harmonica Player of the Year: two-time Gold Medal winner in both blues and jazz at the Hohner World Harmonica Championship in Trossingen, Germany; Jazz Report Magazines’s Blues Musician of the Year; and a multiple nominee for the Juno Award, Canada’s equivalent of a Grammy Award.
