"Deaf Republic" Book Discussion at the Gates Public Library

Join Gates Public Library adult librarian Paula Blackburn for the Big Read: NTID book discussion of "Deaf Republic" by Ilya Kaminsky. Books for the discussion are available at the reference desk beginning March 1 (one book per registered patron). Prepare early for Ilya's April 1 visit to Gates Public Library by discussing his poetry. NTID was awarded the National Endowment of the Arts Big Read, and has chosen to bring Ilya Kaminsky to Rochester. Jointly, with RIT/NTID and MCLS, The Gates Public Library will host an evening with Ilya on April 1 from 5 - 7 p.m. Please register for this book discussion so we can prepare to have an appropiate quanity of books on hand. Book Discussions: Wednesday, March 22 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The Big Read: NTID events are in celebration of Deaf History Month.
