First Five Weeks - Week 1: Priming the Path

Help students set a foundation and prioritize learning for your course. We’ll take a little time to sneak into the mind of a student and discuss strategies to support their learning from the start. We will touch on topics including executive function and learning strategies.

Presenter: Dr. Cha Ron Sattler-Leblanc, Senior Director, Academic Success Center

About the "First Five Weeks" Series
The challenges and stressors that impact faculty throughout a term are most often rooted in the First Five Weeks of a course. In this new series sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning, we will investigate some of the most common issues in our classrooms today. The series will be delivered in a unique format: 15 minute presentations followed by 30 minutes of discussion and questions. If you only attend the first 15 minutes, you will still walk away with immediately implementable strategies!
