Interior Design Capstone Exhibition and Presentations

Seniors in RIT's interior design program are showcasing their capstone projects in an exhibition from April 12-14 in University Gallery (second floor, Booth Hall). A reception is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 14.

Students in the program will also give capstone defense presentations in the gallery (also available via Zoom) that are open to all. A full schedule of the April 12 and 14 presentations (and Zoom links) can be found at indecapstone.cad.rit.edu.

Over the course of two consecutive capstone courses in the senior year, interior design students plan, develop and execute a self-generated, self-directed creative research project. Students are charged with identifying a problem based upon personal interests, and using design as their vehicle, propose a solution that responds to theoretical and evidentiary findings collected from exploratory research, literature reviews and design iterations.
