PHT180 Research Vitals: R35 Panel

Personalized Healthcare Technology is hosting a Research Vitals networking event focused on the process of applying for NIH R35 grants. Please join us for a presentation and Q & A on February 11, 2022 from 12pm-1pm by a panel of RIT researchers with R35 experience. Terry Koo from Sponsored Research Services will provide an overview of R35 awards, followed by brief presentations from three past R35 awardees sharing their experience with securing R35 awards.

R35 Research Grants, also know as MIRA (Maximizing Investigators' Research Award) from National Institutes of Health (NIH), are intended to support a research program, rather than a research project, by providing the primary and most likely sole source of funding on individual grant awards. They are designed to provide long term support to an experienced investigator with an outstanding record of research productivity. This support is intended to encourage investigators to embark on long-term projects of unusual potential.
