Taste of India

Taste of India

RIT Dining chef de cuisines have partnered with student employees who work in RIT Dining to bring their favorite dishes from their hometown in India to RIT.

Did you know that depending on what region in India you are from, the flavors from spices to heat level to how food is prepared is vastly different? In northern parts of India, you might find flatbreads and tandoor-grilled kebabs, while in the southern region you might try sweet coconut fish curry and rice.

Join the Taste of India events this week at both the Cafe and Market at Crossroads on Wednesday, April 6, and Gracie's on Thursday, April 7. All Indian dishes have been hand-picked and prepared by our very own student employees from different regions of India. Where a lot of Indian cuisines are Americanized, the dishes you can find this week on campus bring in authentic flavors with different layers of heat and added spices.
