Vignelli lecture: Ted Davis and Michael Renner
All the way from Switzerland, Ted Davis and Michael Renner are visiting RIT to lead a presentation titled “How Images and Media Create Meaning.” Part of the Vignelli Center for Design Studies’ Design Observations series, the talk is set for 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the Hamlyn Study Room (level 4 of the Vignelli Center in Booth Hall).Davis is an American media designer based in Basel, Switzerland, where he teaches interaction design and coordinates the UIC/HGK International Master of Design program within the Visual Communication Institute at the Basel School of Design. Renner experienced the digital revolution first-hand working for Apple Computer and the Understanding Business in 1986 in California, just after completing his education at the Basel School of Design. In 1999, he was named chairman of the Visual Communication Institute at the Basel School of Design.
