Making at RIT has hit a new level now that several makerspaces in the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED) have opened to provide students access to equipment and support for classwork, club advancement, and personal projects.

According to a 2023 Bloomberg article, over 5 million startup companies are founded each year in the United States. At RIT’s Albert J. Simone Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, students are working together to turn their dreams of starting companies into reality.

Audience members attending The Machine won’t just watch a show, they’ll be part of it. The play will give guests a mirror mask to wear and explore spaces and events among the actors in any way they choose.

RIT’s Esports Counter-Strike 2 team won the Varsity Premier division of the National Association of Collegiate Esports last semester, and its Hearthstone team has had players enter the top eight, two semesters in a row.

RIT’s co-op program is one of the oldest in the nation, beginning in 1912. More than 5,000 RIT students typically complete a co-op each year.
