Faculty, alumni showcase artwork at Mill Gallery
‘Anywhere But Here’ exhibition runs April 4 through May 18

China, Ireland, Croatia, Italy, Thailand, Egypt, Maine, New York City: The world is at your doorstep in a new exhibition, “Anywhere But Here,” at the Mill Art Center and Gallery, 61 North Main St., Honeoye Falls.
More than 85 artworks featuring paintings, drawings and photographs are highlighted in this far and close-to-home exhibition that begins with an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. April 4 and runs through May 18.
Ten of the 14 featured artists are faculty from the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology: Cathy Chin, Denis Defibaugh, Bob Dorsey, Bob Heischman, Denise Heischman, Melissa Maria, Willie Osterman, Lanna Pejovic, Ben Rubin and Jean K. Stephens.
Mill Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Be curious because what if, said RIT alumnus Bob Morrealle, who shared stories of discovery, hope, and confidence during his presentation at the Futurists Symposium, a collection of alumni and faculty offering an insider’s look into the future of technology, the arts, and design. The symposium, held April 26 in the Wegmans Theater, MAGIC Spell Studios, was the official kickoff to Imagine RIT: Creativity and Innovation Festival.
