Film edited by Ashworth selected for festivals
Cathleen “Cat” Ashworth, professor in the School of Film and Animation, edited a film that was selected for three film festivals. Voices From the Barrens: Native People, Blueberries, and Sovereignty, which documents the wild blueberry harvest of the Wabanaki People, was selected for the Camden International Film Festival in Rockport, Maine; Montreal International Wreath Film Festival (nominated for Best Documentary); and the 2020 Twin Cities Film Festival in Minneapolis. The project’s creative team includes a number of former SOFA faculty and graduates.

Staff volunteers make Imagine RIT shine
RIT staff members volunteer at the festival to assist the university in creating an unforgettable event each year by handing out welcome bags, supervising parking lots, and showing campus visitors around the bustling campus, among other duties. More than 200 staff volunteers annually commit their time to Imagine RIT.
