Gottlieb presents about game procedures, AI, and novelty at Syracuse University

Owen Gottlieb, associate professor in the School of Interactive Games and Media, presented “Arriving at Novelty through Play Procedures” at Critical Play: Play, Interaction, and Learning Conference, March 21 (pre-recorded), at Syracuse University. In the presentation, Gottlieb addresses novelty and play processes from both ancient and contemporary understandings, including the implications for AI design and research today.
