Hobbs receives travel award and presents at SIAM conference
Daniel Hobbs, a fifth-year mathematical modeling Ph.D. candidate, received the SIAM Student Travel Award from the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, allowing Hobbs to present “A Dominant Balance Series Solution to the Rayleigh Collapse” on July 8 at the 2026 SIAM Annual Meeting in Cleveland.
