Kurinec presents at IEEE Boston Electron Devices Society Distinguished Lecturer seminar

Santosh Kurinec, professor of electrical and microelectronic engineering and extended faculty in Golisano Institute for Sustainability, presented “Solar Photovoltaics Growth from Farmlands to Waterfronts and the Impact on Energy Supply and Demand” at the IEEE Boston Electron Devices Society Distinguished Lecturer seminar on March 12 at MIT. Kurinec’s talk explored how solar panels can be integrated into farmlands and bodies of water to expand renewable energy production and discussed strategies for balancing the electricity grid as solar power continues to grow. Kurinec also presented “Atoms to Devices: Sustainable Semiconductor Engineering.”
