A message from the Student Government President Shine DeHarder

Welcome back, everyone!

I hope you all had a happy holiday season and a wonderful break. Hopefully you had a chance to rest and relax after a non-stop fall semester.

It can be difficult to set aside time for yourself to decompress, but prioritizing your own mental and physical health is essential with how overwhelming the current climate can be. If you need support, be sure to utilize the resources that Counseling and Psychological Services has to offer.

Last semester was a massive adjustment, but students, staff, and faculty rose to the challenge. We were able to stay on campus and stay vigilant against COVID-19. With everyone doing their part and following the RIT Ready pledge, we can do it again this semester.

It can feel isolating without the social interactions and events we were used to, but the College Activities Board has been working extremely hard to try and help with that. Keep an eye out for CAB events this semester that can provide some safe and socially distant activities.

It may be a new year, but the same rules still apply so remember the 3Ws: Wear your mask, Wash your hands, and Watch your distance.

Once again, welcome back Tigers!

President, RIT Student Government
