The 11th Annual Staff Appreciation Day & Community Picnic hosted a Classic Car Display on May 30. Brennan Coon’s daily ride, a 1968 Dodge Dart, just happens to be in RIT orange. Coon works as intramurals assistant and club sports coordinator at RIT’s Center for Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation. -

The Rochester Institute of Technology community marks a milestone as the university celebrates its 122nd annual commencement May 25-26 and will surpass 100,000 as members of the Class of 2007 accept their diplomas. A new Kate Gleason College of Engineering graduate beams after the ceremony. -

The Rochester Institute of Technology community marks a milestone as the university prepares to celebrate its 122nd annual commencement May 25-26 and will surpass 100,000 as members of the Class of 2007 accept their diplomas. President Bill Clinton is the keynote speaker at the event. Clinton and Yohei Sasakawa, chair of The Nippon Foundation of Japan, will each receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters during the ceremony. Sasakawa is acknowledged as the primary advocate for the foundation’s funding of the Postsecondary Education Network International (PEN-International) at RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf. Here, President Clinton shares a laugh with friend, B. Thomas Golisano, during the event. -

Richard Slynko, a fourth-year design major (center), presents his marketing plan for Freshwise Farms to representatives of Foodlink, a regional non-profit agency devoted to fighting hunger. Two RIT Design for Marketing classes worked on the project during spring quarter. A table adorned with ducks caught the attention of two viewers during the annual School for American Crafts Walkthrough on May 21. The event is a tradition based on \"walking through\" the school’s metals, wood, ceramics and glass studios to view work created throughout the school year by RIT’s talented student artists. -

Timeline is a dedicated group of students that captures RIT’s identity by presenting the year’s events and people in an annual publication. Timeline lives up to the RIT technologically advanced standard by being the first on-demand school publication. Books are $20 for the first 1,000 purchases or until the end of June. -

Michael Peres, center, is the editor of the fourth edition of Focal Encyclopedia of Photography. A reception on May 7 included various faculty and former photo faculty including Dick Zakia and Les Strobel (co-editors of the book’s third edition).
