RIT Expert Panel will Discuss the Future of Sustainable Mobility

Earth Day celebration will also unveil innovative transportation technology

In honor of Earth Day, Rochester Institute of Technology’s Sustainability Institute will host a panel discussion on current and future trends in sustainable mobility, including the development of alternative fuels and transportation, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 23 on the RIT campus. The event will include a keynote address by Matthew Fronk, Chief Engineer for Fuel Cell Systems at General Motors.

The panel will be followed by a tour of a wide variety of sustainable technology demonstrations, including the unveiling of new equipment that RIT is currently testing on public transit fleets. A bus equipped with the technology, provided by Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority, will be on hand as part of the demonstration.
