RIT Performing Artists Concert Series Features Collaboration of Musical Talents April 2

Anniversary season continues with chamber music concert

RIT continues to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Performing Artists Concert Series with a chamber music performance April 2.

Rochester Institute of Technology’s Performing Artists Concert Series, sponsored by the Center for Campus Life, continues its 15th anniversary season with a performance by four classic stars in the music world: concert pianist Soojin Ahn, her husband and violist Michael Larco, violinist Rachel Barton Pine and cellist Wendy Warner. The concert will be at 8 p.m. April 2 in RIT’s Ingle Auditorium, Student Alumni Union.

A goal of the Performing Artists Concert Series is to provide a venue for artists who ordinarily may not have an opportunity to perform together, and this concert is a perfect example. All three female performers are friends and were fellow students at the Music Institute of Chicago when they were young. There are also local connections since Larco plays with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and Barton Pine has appeared as a featured soloist with the RPO.

Tickets—$5 for students, $15 for faculty/staff/alumni, and $20 for the general public—are available at Bytes on the Run in the Student Alumni Union, at the Gordon Field House and Activities Center box office, or at the door on concert night, if available. For Visa or Mastercard phone orders, call 585-475-5210 or 585-475-4121.
