RIT Presents Chamber Music Theatre to Celebrate Lives of Latin Women, Oct. 30

The award-winning Core Ensemble, a touring chamber music group, will present a Sunday afternoon performance at Rochester Institute of Technology, Oct. 30.

As a part of the College of Liberal Arts Global Engagements Lecture Series, Tres Vidas celebrates the life, times and work of three significant Latin Women: painter Frida Kahlo of Mexico, peasant activist Rufina Amaya of El Salvador and poet Alfonsina Storni of Argentina. From a script written by Chilean poet/writer Marjorie Agosin, actress Georgina Corbo offers powerful portrayals of each woman and includes the singing of traditional Latin songs, from Mexican folk music to Argentinean tango.
