RIT to test emergency alert system on Sunday
RIT will conduct a test of RIT Alert, the emergency notification system, at approximately 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23. The test message will read: "Test. This is a test of R.I.T. Alert, the Emergency Notification System. NO ACTION IS NEEDED. This is only a test.”
The test will include the following communication methods:
- Text message and voice call to cell phones
- Message on RIT Facebook
- Tweet from RIT University News (@RITNews)
- Post on www.rit.edu and emergency.rit.edu
- Alertus beacon activation on campus
