Saunders Building Expansion (2024) delivers the latest, industry-inspired, state-of-the-art facilities, at the intersection of business and technology.
Saunders College of Business has once again earned reaccreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the premier accrediting organization for business schools. RIT is one of approximately 6 percent of institutions worldwide to maintain this level of accreditation worldwide.
AACSB accreditation is awarded to business schools that demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning. RIT is one of 1,054 such institutions in over 70 countries and territories.
"Our AACSB reaccreditation reflects the strength and vision of our faculty, staff, and students,” said Jacqueline Mozrall, dean of Saunders College of Business. “It reinforces our commitment to delivering an exceptional business education that blends technology and innovation. We are proud to be part of a global network of business schools committed to continuous improvement and meaningful impact.”
Achieving AACSB accreditation is a mission-driven, rigorous process that includes an in-depth assessment of activities, and a peer-reviewed evaluation focused on continuous improvement. During this multi-year path, schools focus on developing and implementing a plan to achieve their mission and align with AACSB’s accreditation standards. These principles-based standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation, research, and teaching and learning.
“AACSB congratulates each institution on their achievement,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB. “Every AACSB-accredited school has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning. The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education.”
Saunders first earned accreditation in 1988 and has been reaffirmed several times over the last 37 years, including most recently in 2020. Over the past five years, Saunders has expanded its undergraduate and graduate programs, launched its first Ph.D. program, broadened entrepreneurial opportunities for students, and grown its footprint with a major facility expansion that enhances collaborative learning, innovation, and community engagement. The college, with over 2,300 students enrolled across RIT Global Campuses in Rochester, N.Y., Croatia, Dubai, and Kosovo, continues to rise in national rankings.
