Silent Auction to benefit RIT United Way campaign
The RIT United Way student committee is hosting a Silent Auction to support the 2009 RIT United Way Campaign from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in the SAU lobby. Tickets are $1, or $5 for an arm’s length (20 tickets).
In the style of a Chinese auction, bowls will be placed in front of each donated item and bidders can put tickets in any of the bowls for prizes they would like to win. Auction pieces include $500 credit for RIT housing, handmade jewelry, acoustic or electric guitar lessons, digital camera, gift certificates and more.
Winning tickets will be drawn from each bowl at the conclusion of the event; winners will be notified after 2:30 p.m. For more information, contact Lynn Rowoth at 475-7408 or lcrgrl@rit.edu.
