Wong and students lead study

Tony Wong, assistant professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, led the study “Coastal Adaptation and Damage Costs at Different Global Warming Thresholds,” alongside computational mathematics student Selorm Dake and computational mathematics and computer science student Kelly Feke. Their research found that surpassing 1.5 °C of warming could double high-end coastal damages, with countries in the Global South projected to face the greatest burden.
