TITLE: Administrative Assistant (Summer Student)
POSITION STATUS: Full Time – Temporary (8 weeks- Canada Summer Job) (Non-Union)
REPORTS TO: Executive Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the President, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support as well as support of social and digital media platforms,
PRIMARY DUTIES
Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents
File and retrieve documents and reference materials
Monitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming communications
Administrative support of social and digital media platforms
Receive and interact with incoming visitors
Liaise with internal staff at all levels
Interact with external clients
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in Digital/Social Marketing or related fields
Working knowledge of Social Media platforms
Working knowledge of Digital Media creation
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator Premier and Photoshop
Digital Photography and Video experience an asset
In-depth knowledge, experience with Microsoft Office an asset
Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures
Strong writing skills, critical thinking and an ability to work well under pressure
Must be able to work flexible hours to meet internal/external requirements
Experience in project management and event planning is an asset
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Possesses valid Ontario full G driver’s license
Knowledge of ASL or a willingness to learn
French/LSQ an asset
Canada Summer Jobs Requirements
Must be within 15 to 30 years of age (as per Canada Summer Jobs requirements)
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid Social Insurance Number
Must be able to commit to full 8 weeks at 35 hours per week
