AMPHL is searching for an unpaid marketing and social media intern, who will work alongside the Program Manager to increase awareness through the usage of AMPHL’s website and social media platforms. The Social Media intern will be responsible for the implementation of marketing strategies and tactics that raise awareness for deaf and hard of hearing medical students/professionals. This internship is a unique opportunity to dig in with a seasoned, collaborative team and contribute to the growth of an expanding nonprofit. We are hiring a talented Social Media Intern professional to join our team!
This is an ideal position for a student or recent graduate in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or Media. This internship requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week. You will gain valuable experience and become part of an upcoming network of deaf and hard of hearing medical professionals.

Responsibilities for Social Media Intern
• Work alongside the team and the Board to create a plan for social media strategies monthly
• Assist in the growth of the brand by raising awareness through various social media platforms
• Monitor postings to ensure brand message is constant from the terminology used to images posted
• Aid in the daily aspects of promoting campaigns
• Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company's social pages
• Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media websites such as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Oversee the creating and implementation of an editorial (presented to the board meetings) which includes notating the upward trajectory of reach, new members, and the like
• Help create content as dictated by the calendar to promote newsletters, blogs and webinars/conferences
• Working on a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field (must be a Junior or Senior during the 2020-2021 school year)
• 6 months to 1 year of social media management experience
• Demonstrated experience with Facebook, Twitter and the like
• Experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights
• Comfortable with working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
• General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
• Entry level experience determining how to cater unique marketing campaigns to a unique audience
• Ability work alongside a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once
• Entry level understanding of marketing strategy and how to use the concepts throughout various forms of outreach
