MOVEABLE TYPE - Promotional Poster for SPM

Created a promotional poster for the School of Print Media to promote the MOVEABLE TYPE visit on September 16, 2011.

Worked with Amelia Hugill-Fontanel from the Cary Library to create a poster that honors the brand of MOVEABLE TYPE but adds some flavor from SPM and Cary Library. Some of the display type is from original wood type specimens in the Cary's collection.

100 posters were first printed digitally on 80# matte coverstock leaving off the truck design. The truck illustration was created by Amelia with a linocut and hand-printed on Cary Library's Vandercook proof press.

Further copies were printed 100% digitally using vector artwork created from the linocut print.
