Reimagining Air Travel Through Strategy and Innovation
"Saunders has given me the confidence to tackle ambiguity. The biggest advantage has been learning how to take an idea, challenge it, refine it, and shape it into something that is both innovative and practical."
What is great about your co-op?
AeroSplit is an award-winning aviation concept that reimagines air travel by separating passenger and baggage logistics—recognized with first place in the 3MT category at the RIT Graduate Showcase.
While this was not a traditional co-op, working on AeroSplit allowed me to engage deeply with a real-world, system-level challenge in the aviation industry. What made the experience especially meaningful was the ability to take an idea from an early concept and develop it into a structured solution grounded in research, strategy, and feasibility.
It pushed me to think beyond classroom theory and approach problems with a broader, more critical lens—considering not just innovation, but also adoption, stakeholder alignment, and real-world constraints. Presenting the concept at the RIT Graduate Showcase and receiving recognition for it was a rewarding moment, as it validated both the idea and the process behind it.
Overall, the experience strengthened my ability to navigate ambiguity, think strategically, and translate complex ideas into clear, impactful solutions.
