In this RIT Research Minute, Associate Professor and Program Director of Embedded Systems MS, Yangming Lee, shares how RIT's robotics lab is working to bring robotics from the lab into real-world use.
Using advances in ai robotics and machine learning for robotics, this research focuses on improving safety and reliability in real applications. This includes surgical robots and medical robotics, where robots and surgery come together to support precise, patient-specific care. It also explores ai in agriculture where robots must adapt to changing conditions like weather, terrain, and crops. Together, this work highlights how robotics engineering and ai and robotics are moving toward practical, real-world impact.
