Unconventional classroom with modern tech made possible by new gift from Palmers Family of Companies and Corning

Backed by an award from the National Institutes of Health, Assistant Professor Stefan Schulze is using his expertise in the structure and function of proteins to work with a bacterial pathogen commonly associated with antibiotic resistance.

Thousands of RIT students searched for co-ops and full-time employment at more than 230 local, regional, and national companies represented at the University-wide Career Fair on Oct. 8.

Rafael Gilboa, a fourth-year software engineering major from Pittsburgh, chose to attend RIT because of its strong reputation for co-ops, generous financial aid, and a renowned computing program.

A team of software engineering students is completing a senior project with KidsOutAndAbout.com, an event curation platform that helps families find local events.

A record 434 exhibits were on display across the entire campus for Imagine RIT: Creativity and Innovation Festival, a signature, interactive event that showcases the imaginative and inventive spirit of college students.

Students developed Spotlight Creators, a startup meant to filter out ubiquitous, trend-chasing social media content in favor of original artwork. The goal of the site's co-founders is to create a welcoming online community for creatives to share more authentic work.

The complimentary access is a result of an interdisciplinary team of RIT students winning the 2024 Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge last fall. The winning “Tigers Trading” team outlasted 2,453 teams from 396 universities in 46 countries in a 6+ week simulated investing challenge.

To accommodate its growing number of graduates, the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences will hold two separate commencement ceremonies on May 10, 2025.
