Fellowship allows students to be entrepreneurs and stay in school
The Gap Year Entrepreneurial Fellowship allows SOIS students to take time off of school to focus on personal business ventures while still working toward their degrees. Students in the fellowship also receive a $15,000 award to create the time and space needed to build their businesses.

Alumni reflect 30 years after Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science opened its doors

Carlson Center for Imaging Science became the only place in the world where students could pursue degrees in the interdisciplinary field of imaging science when it opened its doors in 1989. Student Spotlight: Ph.D. student receives two awards for research
While attending the 2019 American Electrophoresis Society (AES) annual meeting at the Scix conference, Nicole Hill, a microsystems engineering doctoral student, received two awards for her research: The Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies (FACSS) first place Poster Award and the Wiley Innovation Award.
