What is great about your co-op?
At Bose, I focus on ensuring product quality and understanding customer needs. My role involves closely listening to customer feedback and using that information to ensure our products meet their expectations. By applying quality management principles and data analysis, I work on improving how we develop products, aiming to align them closely with what customers want. This approach has helped enhance product satisfaction and fostered innovation within the company, ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed customer needs.
I've made significant contributions to both quality and product management. I've led teams across different departments, helping speed up how we develop products and making them safer. Using Lean and Six Sigma methods and analyzing data, I've made our processes more efficient while doing a project as part of my Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt program at Bose. This role has been an excellent opportunity for me to learn and innovate, focusing on careful planning, teamwork, and setting high standards for our products and processes.
In what ways has Saunders/RIT prepared you for the job market?
My journey in the management information systems (MIS) program and a minor in management have been critical to my career preparation, blending academic learning with real-world work through co-op roles. My experience began at Baldwin Richardson Foods, where I focused on UX/UI design and data analytics, creating user-friendly designs grounded in data. Then, at ITT Inc., I deepened my supply chain and data analytics skills, improving efficiency.
At Bose, I've applied all I've learned in quality and product management, striving to innovate and enhance product development. Each step has been crucial in developing my skills and understanding of business and technology integration, with Bose being my current focus.
Why did you decide to attend Saunders College of Business at RIT?
I decided to study at Saunders College of Business at RIT because I was interested in how companies manage their supply chains and use data to make better decisions. At first, I focused on MIS because it matched my supply chain and analytics interests. However, as I learned more, I became interested in product management. Product management lets me use data and strategic thinking to help make products that people want and need. It's like seeing the bigger picture of how products are created and succeed in the market.
What is the most distinctive advantage gained from your Saunders experience?
