I am originally from Iran and I was born in the city of Mashhad.

What is your undergraduate school and degree?

I obtained my Master's degree in Accounting from Attar Institute of Higher Education, Mashhad, Iran.

Why did you choose Saunders College of Business at RIT for your Ph.D. in business administration?

I chose this university because it has distinguished professors who share my research interests. This means a lot to me as I can develop academically under their supervision and also challenge myself more by learning the connection between financial concepts and the world of technology.

Is there specific research that attracted you to Saunders College?

I am really interested in doing research on corporate governance, financial reporting, corporate social responsibility and ESG; this university with its elite faculty members has offered me an attractive opportunity to work with them in these areas, which fascinated me a lot.

What do you intend to do with your Ph.D. after you graduate?

My ultimate dream has always been to spend my working life in academia as a professor.
