RIT Food Scene: From Food Trucks to Dining Halls

Food is super important to the college experience, I mean…who doesn’t like to eat? We have a wide variety on-campus dining options, and with the rotating food trucks, we get even more.

From Late August to October and in April, we have a new selection of food trucks to try out every weekend. As someone who is committed to eating their way through RIT, you’ll be happy to know they are included with dining dollars, which saves you money in the long run. There are trucks like Macarollin, which specializes in macaroni and cheese, and all the way to Roll N Deep, which has boba and Asian Fusion for you to enjoy. That also doesn’t include dessert food trucks like Kona Ice, which provide that sweet treat you look forward to after a meal. If you had to ask, my favourite, I wouldn’t even be able to choose because all the options are just so delicious. So whether you’re a prospective student or an incoming tiger, we know you have to eat, and we know ‘ball’ when it comes to all the delicious options!

At the end of the day, food at RIT is about more than just filling your stomach between classes! I’ve discovered new favorites, grabbed late-night snacks with friends, and have had the flexibility to eat what I'm craving when I'm craving it. Whether I’m fueling up before an all-nighter in the library, celebrating after acing an exam, or just taking a study break with something sweet, our dining options have you covered. With everything from quick grab-and-go meals to sit-down restaurants, dietary accommodations for every need, and those exciting food truck weekends, you'll never have to worry about boring meals or limited choices.

So if you're looking for a college experience where great food is always within reach, RIT delivers. Come hungry, leave happy, and enjoy every bite of your time here as a Tiger!
