Biomechanics and Ergonomics Lab

The Biomechanics and Ergonomics Lab (BEL) conducts human-centered research to improve human movement, safety, health, and performance. Our work spans occupational ergonomics, rehabilitation and fall prevention, digital health, robotics and human–robot interaction, and assistive technologies such as exoskeletons. We use wearable sensors, motion capture, computer vision, signal processing, and data-driven methods to study human movement and evaluate technologies and interventions that support safer and more effective interactions between people, tasks, and technology. We collaborate with healthcare partners, industry, and researchers across engineering and related disciplines.
