RIT students this week are learning first-hand what it’s like to be a syndicated cartoonist, with Leigh Rubin, the creator of Rubes, as cartoonist-in-residence.

Olivia Kim, an adjunct professor in RIT’s School of Art, has created three monuments, with more to come, to honor Frederick Douglass’ living legacy.

He may not have superhero powers, but he certainly has a talent for drawing them. during his career as a comic artist, Adam Kubert ’81 (medical illustration) has illustrated for DC Comics and now exclusively at Marvel Comics.

Meet Heather Williams, a third-year medical illustration major who designed and created an 18th century French court gown made out of paper for the CIAS Foundations Beaux Arts Ball.
